The flora and fauna around Maliau basin is some of the most biodiverse and rich in the whole world. The geology of Maliau has separated thousands of species from the outside, resulting in a plethora of unique wildlife. It was an opportunity not to be missed. The jungle is virtually untouched, apart from the small winding trails which gradually dissipate as terrain becomes impassable. Much of Maliau basin has never even been seen by humans. Filming in the rainforest brought a new set of challenges, but also some of the best footage I have captured to date.
